I made the move onto bigger paper and it feels so good! Now I want even bigger paper! This one is 12 x 16. I feel pretty happy with this one. I tried to be braver with paper size, colour saturation and messiness. I still have lots of room for growth, obviously, but I feel like I would buy this? Which I think means success! I am working towards a large painting that will go in our bedroom. I like the movement of this with the big kind of oval and the masking fluid keeping some lines white. Here is a smaller painting I did the other day that kind of led to this one:

And maybe this one that I just finished will lead to a bigger one still! I felt the smaller sketch was too light and maybe too yellow... I want more colours, and more messiness. What do you guys think? Am I moving the right direction?

All I want to do these days is paint abstracts and sew things for the baby. I wish I had this enthusiasm the whole pregnancy!

I had a baby shower over the weekend and got so many cute and helpful things! Plus the enthusiasm of everyone there for this new little person made me feel so grateful and excited. Our living room is drowning in baby things that have no 'place' yet, but that's okay! I can't believe there are less than 6 weeks left! I have so many things to show you guys, like the new quilt I made, and the mobile, and yesterday I bought fabric for curtains... Eeee!
