...And It Will Make an Even Bigger Bang!
I really don't feel like rushing things lately. I know all the other bloggers posted happy new years resolution posts on New Years Day, and I was super inspired, yet I felt absolutely no urge to make resolutions or post anything. Ha! What! I know... it's like, "Who is this girl? Amanda must have been abducted by aliens."
I am trying to focus on the small things that are awesome. Having Finnegan has really helped with this. Every single day, I am pretty sure he wakes up thinking "THIS COULD BE THE BEST DAY EVER!". And everything that happens during the day, I can see in his head that he is SO sure that it's going to work out in his favour, even though that's rarely true. I sit down to eat some nachos and he's thinking "I AM ONE FOOT AWAY FROM FOOD. THIS IS AMAZING." and then he stares at me and grins his doggy grin and is just super happy.
I am enjoying every cup of tea. When it's sunny, we stop drawing to go out and play and then we have a nap in the sun with the kitties. Finn recently learned to give his paw, to jump up and high-five, and to roll over. Teaching him things is the BEST feeling. I've been working on some fun projects and enjoying the time I have to hone my skills and stretch my limits artistically. I'm learning the words to 'The Big Bang Theory' theme song so Happy Bunny and I can belt it out at a bonfire this summer. I'm not stressing about blogging on a schedule, painting at the speed of light, getting more followers, or being super funny. Instead I'm making gluten free dinners, dancing in the kitchen, and re-reading Harry Potter.
You are probably wondering what this house drawing is all about, up at the top. I added a page about custom orders and pricing to this site because I've received a few inquiries from people about custom house watercolours. Honestly, I really love painting buildings. I also love the thought of giving a painting of a family home as a gift (like I did at Christmas) because it just feels really good to have a memento of a place that holds tons of memories for you. So if you feel like checking it out, or always wondered what it would cost, now you can know without having to ask me! Yay! No pressure on either side.
Also, did you know there's a little heart in the bottom right corner that tells me you liked this post? It's not connected to anything, I can never tell who clicked it, but when you guys click it, I feel really good. It's like commenting (I love when you comment!) without actually having to think of anything to say.
