You Know What Makes Me Happy? Nom Nom Nom Tea Club.
The Ladies (& 2 Men) that I sit/work with are completely lovely. I didn't draw them all in this picture. This is a sampling (Left to Right: Me, Kayla, Alessandra's back & Ashley). We've bonded over tea, candied ginger, stories of our love lives, engagement stories, wedding planning, puppets, Phineas & Ferb, clothes, dentists who scam us, Elvis weddings, and dancing in our cubicles. But mostly we bond over tea.We love tea. We like it in bags and cheap. We like it loose and expensive. We like it most when it's loose and inexpensive. I've drawn us at our normal stations at the kitchen counter, waiting for the kettle to boil. We line our double-walled glass thermos(es?) up on the counter, carefully measure the tea into each one and chat about our lives for the 3 minutes it takes the kettle to boil.
Except for the days that we all assume that someone else filled the kettle and put it on. Those breaks take a wee bit longer.
One day, Ashley had an AWESOME idea. She said we should collaborate with tea companies to send us tea so we could review it on her healthy living blog. More tea! Wheee! My caffeine levels haven't been letting me sleep properly since then. So far we have received tea from two places.
Nourish Tea has adorable packaging and the teas we sampled are great tea basics.
Herbal Tea Infusions is a Toronto retailer with a shop at Spadina and Adelaide that we all obsessively haunt. And when we aren't there, we talk about what it's like when we are there. Sometimes we stand in our cubicles and open the Vanilla/Orange Lapacho just to smell it. Then we dance. Or maybe that's just me.
Yep. Addicted! And perfectly happy about it.
