Roncesvalles Map Illustration In Process

Okay. I know what you are thinking. What the heck is that?

It's the first block of a map of Roncesvalles Ave (my neighbourhood). The bottom layer is a meshed together screenshot from Google Maps, the second and third layers are pink guidelines to help with my perspective and sketching out of the houses and buildings before I complete them with the top layer of black. In the final drawing, there will be many many blocks and all the under layers will be erased.

Roncesvalles is very long. I can either stop after three blocks and have this fit in a normal frame or keep going and either require one long custom frame or have it be three separately framed pieces that would stack vertically on the wall. I am planning to sell them as prints, so feedback would be great!

I am so excited about this project. It's been in the back of my mind for a long time. I couldn't wait to show you it all at once, I had to share RIGHT NOW. Ha! There will probably be many updates on this one along the way. Hopefully you don't mind being in the loop on this one.

This block is from Marian to Pearson, upside-down.
