$15 Fall Decor Challenge (Part 1)
Jeanette asked on twitter if any other bloggers would be into doing a fall decoration challenge with her and I was SO IN. The rules are that we have to take $15 to the dollar or thrift store and find some autumn decorating items and make some kind of tableau or decoration and then blog it and share everyone else's.
Okay, I know what you are thinking. This is not a home decor or renovation blog and I have no place taking part in this challenge. And yeah, you are right. Ha. But I do have a long standing (dollar store supplied) craft that I have been meaning to blog about here for ages that ALMOST TOTALLY fits with the fall theme since our family religiously uses this fall themed decoration for our thanksgiving dinners. And I will illustrate it, of course. It has nothing to do with just putting a turkey on the mantle because I don't have a turkey OR a mantle. And Jay ate some of my apples and Finn licked the rest so those are out, too.
I sometimes get a bit of a complex about my blog not falling into a "Category". It's not a design blog or a fashion blog or even an artist's blog in the normal sense where I would only post updates on my work. It's like a personal-meets-lifestyle-meets-illustration-meets-egomaniac blog. So when other "types" of bloggers let me masquerade as one of them I get super excited!
We are sharing the outcomes on Wednesday so you can check back then to see my results and the results of all the other awesome home decor bloggers that are allowing me to pretend to be one of them! Yay! Here they are, if you want to check them out:
