Sometimes it feels like it's always laundry day. (I'm sure that Allison and Robin thought so, too). Since moving to Hamilton, I've been enjoying laundry so much since I can hang it outside! Growing up, we had a clothes line, but it was in a sketchy area of our yard with so many spiders and I never trusted the clothes that dried outside. I would shake them a hundred times and then put them in quarantine and then forget them for a few months. It wasn't efficient.
Our line now goes right across the entire yard (and our yard is huge!) with lots of sunlight and no spiders. The clothes smell so good when you take them down, like trees and sunlight and happiness.
The clothes featured are my current pajamas... bottoms I stole from Jay and my much loved Sweet Ice Snow Cones T-Shirt (gotta support Hamilton local businesses!)
Question about putting underwear on your clothesline: Is this acceptable? I usually dry them in the drier, but sometimes one sneaks into the clothesline pile and I just hang it up... but then I wonder if I am breaking some unspoken rules. You can't see our line from the street... but our neighbours can.
Also, while painting this, I dipped my brush in my tea, jerked back in horror, spilled the tea everywhere and then wrestled Finn to the ground while he frantically tried to lick it up before I could grab paper towels. And then he paced restlessly for an hour. Caffeine and dogs do not mix well.
