Logic Puzzles and Sketches (One Day With Limited Social Media)
Oof, guys! Avoiding social media is so hard! My hands just automatically search for and open the apps. It’s like fighting an addiction. I logged in about 4 times yesterday unknowingly but caught myself and turned it off right away. I did check it briefly at night (my “once a day”) but quickly found myself comparing my work and success to another artist (who I don’t even follow, it was from a hashtag I follow) and logged off again when I registered the negative feelings.
I do miss seeing what my friends are up to, but I think that will ease up in a few days. I also messaged a couple of people to hang out in real life which I rarely do so maybe this is going to lead to more real life friendships!
Instead I filled my time with sketching, some mending, blogging here and also I found a book of logic puzzles while I was looking for my ereader and remembered how much I love them and did like 5 before bed. And I made my family pancakes and bacon for breakfast. I think if I find a couple good books that will help so much, I was definitely a fervent reader before I got addicted to the internet!
